About me.

 Hello, my name is Javiera Pérez, I am a desertic person, sort of speak, I was born in Arica, northern Chile. I live in the middle of the driest desert in the world, between two valleys and the ocean. The truth is, I think I am a very simple person, I like to write, paint and listen to music. I spend my free time riding my bike and with my friends. I care a lot about nature. My city is a border town, although I feel it more like a bridge. There are wetlands, birds and before the drought there were rivers. it is a quiet city, a little far away in many ways. We live here with my parents, my sister, I also have a brother but he lives in Santiago.

Say what you study and why you study it.

 Hello, I would like to talk a little about what I study to get to know us better. When I was a child I dreamed of being a builder, I made houses with blankets all the time, it was my favorite game. When I grew up I decided as a first option to enter a law degree. I did not feel comfortable in the work, so I deserted. So I decided to find something that I liked better. I entered the career of social work, I like discipline and how the work of social work unfolds, it has a solidary perspective in the face of problems, where we can develop thinking and work with people. I like it epistemologically, and I also like that it can be on the ground. The university has been an apprenticeship. It has been a good experience, it is strange to study online, sometimes I miss the interaction in learning. I am grateful to be able to study.
